中古时代的骑兵就等于我们现代的特种部队,尽管两国军队早已打得昏天黑地,真正左右战局的关键还是得靠他们。相较于战斗兵种,骑兵更像是「战术单位」,他们可以用来吓阻、追击敌人,或者直接冲向敌人的弱点,切开阵形上的缺口。假如指挥官笨笨的,直接叫骑兵正面冲锋,他们很可能被敌方矛兵包围,或因为马儿的挣扎而摔下来。
